Medical Symposium   [ 4. Jul. 2010 - 22:00]

The Medical Symposium was a first of its kind for Pointers Who Care.  It was an intense, information-packed, interactive session arranged for our teachers, in which the expertise and the knowledge-base of the health care specialists among our ex-Pointers were brought forth to serve the needs of the teachers.

The programme was conducted in a highly professional manner, with short lectures, multimedia presentations, and Q&A sessions, interspersed with several rounds of refreshments, and an opportunity for the teachers and the membership of PWC to socialise at the end of the event.

The programme commenced at about 4:30 PM with approximately fifty ex-teachers, among whom, many came with their spouses.  The expert panel included eleven doctors.

In spite of pressing engagements elsewhere, Principal Indranath Guha attended the entire programme and presented the participating experts with souvenir plaques, on behalf of PWC.  In his address to the group, Principal Guha complimented the efforts of PWC and expressed admiration for all the participants of the event.

The programme concluded at about 6:15 PM.  At its conclusion, the experts on the participating panel complimented the organisers for their efforts and accomplishment, and offered many suggestions to make the event even more effective in the future.  Following the event, many teachers called in to express their appreciation for PWC's efforts in organising the event.
